Filing taxes with an ITIN in Las Vegas
An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) lets people who do not have a Social Security number file a federal tax return. Caza Finnancial prepares those returns for Las Vegas families, in English and Spanish.
What an ITIN is
It is a tax ID issued by the IRS. It is for filing and paying tax. It is not work authorization and it is not an immigration status. We are a tax office. We do not give immigration advice.
You can still file
If you earned income in the United States, you may need to file even without a Social Security number. An ITIN is the number that goes on the return. Bring your ITIN letter if you already have one. If you need to apply or renew, the IRS explains the process on their ITIN page. We can point you there and prepare the return once the number is in place.
What to bring
- Photo ID
- ITIN letter or Social Security card for each person on the return
- W-2s and 1099s
- Last year's return, if you have it
This page is general information, not tax or legal advice. If you want the return done with a person who knows this community, book a consultation with Ismael.
